TEHRAN: Iran’s Deputy Petroleum Minister has said that construction work on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline would be started within weeks, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
Talking to a state-run news agency, Head of Iran’s National Gas Company and Deputy Petroleum Minister Jawad Oji said that Islamabad would start working on the gas pipeline in its territory
in January.
He said that Iranian banks would provide financial sources for the project, adding that Tehran’s companies have expedited work on the project following directives by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
