DALLAS: Dallas Christians celebrated Christmas with festivities, joy and happiness similar to other Christians around the world.
The celebration party hosted by Pakistani and Indian Christians went till late last night at a local hotel in Carrolton.
Father George Maseeh addressed the gathering. Special songs were presented in reminding Jesus birth festival. Children and elders enjoyed with songs, dances and bhangras.
According to details, Indians and Pakistani Christian community hosted a Christmas Eve
celebration at a local hotel in Dallas where several programs were organized in which magic show for kids were presented.
Christian community members participated fully in this colorful evening. The Christian community representative Pervez Shahzad thanked the participants and guests. Prominent community leaders congratulated the Christian community from stage on this festive occasion.
A big cake was cut at midnight. Pastor George Maseeh of Grace church while addressing the gathering said that when a man get surrounded by sins his whole personality get changed the process is similar as making a clay pot where the maker can shape the clay into any form.
Pastor Maseeh said that Jesus message is nothing but love for which he had to go through hardships and tortures but he continued in giving his love and affection to humanity as that was the very purpose of his coming.
He said celebration of Christmas has the same purpose that we give each other love and respect and give love instead of hate. This is the message from each church and cathedral today.
Several prominent community leaders were present at this occasion including Muslim Democratic caucus President Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Qaraqarm thinkers forum America's President Siraj Butt, Pakistan community leaders Barkat Basaria, Dr. Rabia Khan, Naeem Chaudhry, poet Noor Amrohvi, Saeed Qureshi, Raja Zahid Khanzada, Shah Alam Siddiqui, Arif Bhatti and Pervez Shahzad.
Traditional Christmas Carols and songs were presented by young girls for which all attendees including non-Christians enjoyed.
