KARACHI: The Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) has given a strike call today in Karachi against life attempt on its leader Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui, Geo News reported.
The religious party said a day of mourning would be observed across Sindh while a 'peaceful' strike in Karachi.
Maulana Farooqui was injured when armed men opened fire on his vehicle near
Moti Mehal area in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town on Tuesday, killing six people including four policemen, his personal guard and a driver.
ASWJ central leader Allama Muhammad Ludhianvi called on party workers to remain peaceful and cooperate with local authorities in establishing peace.
