Mushtaq A Subhani

NEW DELHI: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first in the third and final One-day International here at a slow and dry wicket of the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground on Sunday.

Dhoni, whose participation in the third ODI was reported to be doubtful due to backache, was fit to lead his team, trying to win at least this match and avoiding a clean sweep by Pakistan.

Pakistan made one change, bringing in young batsman Umar Akmal in place of out-of-form batsman Azhar Ali.

On the other side, there were two changes in Indian side as out-of-form batsman Virender Sehwag and seamer Ashok Dinda were replaced by opening batsman Ajinkya Rahane and debutant medium-pacer Shami Ahmed.
