QUETTA: Two foreign aircraft carrying at least 600 passengers escaped midair collision in Balochistan on Wednesday.
Quoting sources in the Civil Aviation Authority, Geo News senior reporter Tariq Abul Hassan said a London-bound flight from Mumbai came too close to another plane which was flying from Beijing to Doha.
He said that the midair collision was averted due to
sophisticated equipment fitted in the two aircraft and guidance by the air traffic controller.
Hassan said the air traffic controller has been facing difficulties due to malfunctioning of a radar which could not properly locate airplanes flying through Pakistan.
