HONG KONG: Gold soared above $1,900 an ounce in Hong Kong for the first time on Tuesday as dealers flocked to the safe haven asset due to growing concerns over the state of the global economy.
The precious metal was trading at $1,914.50-$1,915.50 an ounce in the morning after opening at $1,898.00-$1,899.00.
