Banks told to keep ATMs full of cash on Eid days

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has directed commercial banks to ensure that ATMs deliver cash during Eid holidays, Wednesday. According to sources, SBP has directed all commercial banks to ensure that ATMs are operational to provide service to customers. Sources add that ATMs can stock up to Rs2 million at a time with certain ATMs capable of stocking Rs3 million. Further SBP has issued Rs 108 billion in new currency notes for Eid which is Rs 13 billion more than last year.
