LAHORE: As many as 526 cases of dengue fever have been registered in Punjab so far, whereas 466 such cases registered only in Lahore, out of which, 491 patients have recovered, says a report of Punjab Health Department.
According to the report issued here on Monday, only 35 dengue fever patients are under treatment in various hospitals. Around 85 cases of dengue fever were reported during the last 24 hours throughout province, out of which, 78 related to Lahore while one each related to Gujrat, Nankana Sahib, Multan, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura and Jhelum and two patients related to Faisalabad.
At present, nine patients of dengue fever are under treatment in Mayo Hospital, one in Mental Hospital, two in Shalamar Hospital, three in LGH, four in Services Hospital, four in Surgimed Hospital and 11 patients in Doctors Hospital.
According to a spokesman of Health Department Punjab, medical facilities are being provided to the dengue fever patients in all government hospitals free of cost
